Henry Ford Museum

Yesterday Matt and I went to the Henry Ford Museum. We both had the day off! It was funny because we were the ONLY Honda in the entire parking lot. I guess what else do you expect? The museum was amazing! We bought a pass to be able to go for the whole year. This summer they had a Chocolate Exhibit and it was awesome. I LOVE chocolate!

This is Matt by the chair that Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in! So sad, but humbling to see at the same time. You'll have to excuse Matt's expressions. He doesn't really like to be in pics:)

Me by the original Oscar Mayer Winnie-mobile! I hate hot dogs but can't help but sing "Oh I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Wiener...." brings back memories!

This is one of my favorite pictures. This is the actual bus that Rosa Parks got on and took a stand against the prejudices of her time. This act, along with others, started the Civil Rights Movement! She sat in that exact same seat we are pictured in!! What an incredible woman! And below, here we are outside of the bus. It has been restored, but looked just like that back in the day. Lime Green and Yellow...nice.

Here's Matt by Northwest's DC-3. It was one of the original airplanes that Northwest flew and it held about 25 passengers. We heart airplanes! Below, here he is again just under the prop and cockpit. Needless to say, he LOVED this part of the museum!

This is us by the Kennedy Presidential Car, unfortunately, the very one he was killed in. They have on display almost every Presidential Car from years past. The price tag was about half a million dollars-back when they bought it!
This is a steam engine that we rode on just outside of the museum. It took us all around Greenfield Village, which is another part of the Henry Ford experience. Matt said his dad really likes trains, so this picture is especially for him:)
