Well we did it!!!! All 26.2 miles of the marathon.....sweat, pain, RAIN and all! It was awesome and we had such a fun time. It wasn't half as bad as I thought it was going to be, easy for me to say now.......now that I can walk again. For the first 20 miles it poured rain. Relentlessly. It was a blessing in disguise though because when I'd want to stop or slow down I wouldn't because I knew I'd freeze to death if I did. So we ran, and ran, and RAN all the way to the finish line!

Us holding up our medals......and a big ice cream bar:)

Thanks for coming to cheer us on Cheryl! And for the cheetah blanket, which would have been really cold without it!

This pic was actually on the front page of the Spectrum (St. George's Paper) on Sunday. Haha. Can you spot us?

Finish Line! Matt was so nice to stay with me the whole way; he would have finished before me but he stayed by my side! What a sweet husband!

And of course a trip to St. George wouldn't be complete without Les Meserables at Tuacahn. This is us with friends Braden and Cassidy. Cassidy is 5 months prego and still ran 6 miles in the marathon!
A view of the stage. I absolutely love the red rock background!

Matt, Jake, and Braden-the best of friends. We all got together to watch conference and hang out. We had such a great trip and miss St. George! It was so fun to see everyone....even those who we didn't get pictures with. We miss and love you all and hopefully we'll see ya again soon!

Wow, wow, wow. Not as bad as you thought. I can't imagine even going half that distance. You are my hero! Congrats!
You guys are awesome. You should be proud! It was so fun to see you. I could have talked to you all night. Thanks for making time for me!
I'm glad the race went so well despite the rain... Tuacahn is amazing and Les Mis was great!
No Way!!! I can't believe you did this! It looks very hard, but I applaud you Linds!! Dang....

How awesome!!! What an amazing accomplishment! Lately I have been running more often and starting to consider training for one myself.... how bad is it??!?! I totally hate running and I find myself running way fast just to finish.... maybe I'll start to like it more?
And yes I too love Tuacahn.... takes me back to my dating days with Rem.
Did you guys move back there or were you just visiting???
What an accomplishment!! I am very impressed, that is something I would love to do one day (but I never will)...congrats on completing such a big event!
Hey Lins, congrats on the race and sorry about the ear infection that followed. Hope your up and running again. We had a fun weekend with Laura and missed you guys. One last thing, don't think I'm an idiot but when I saw that top picture of you and Matt and the end of the race my first (and very short) thought was, "Dude, she ran in a dress" haha stupid me.
LINDS!!!!!!!!!! I found you on Lexis page and I cant even tell you how excited I got!! haha... How have you been!?!?! I miss you girl! xoxo
Good job for you! That is so awesome and something that I will never do, but have respect for those who do. My mom was worried about ya'll in the rain, but glad to see that it was good in the end. I'd like to think that I helped ya'll train after our run a long time a go during the beginning of the summer! Come visit us in Tucson sometime if you have a weekend to spare. Love ya.
