James has always loved music. He must take after his dad, because I don't have any musical talent in me! From a very young age, he has been taken with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, in particular. During church, his favorite parts are the opening, closing, and intermediate hymns. He can be found standing on his chair watching the chorister and pretending to 'lead' the music like she is. At home, he will grab the hymn book from the piano stand and sit with it on the couch and 'sing' songs and lead the music. He also knows how to turn on our CD player in our room and start the Children's Songbook CD. Today we were in a book store and James just busted out in song for several minutes. It was so funny because it kept getting progressively louder and louder. The cashier finally said, "Wow, what a pretty song!" James then realized what he was doing, but it didn't bother him; he kept right on singing! So cute. This conference season, James was mesmerized by the choir. Every day since Conference ended, he will come up to me with his right hand up, pretending to lead the music and take me by the other hand into the computer room where he points to the computer screen. I know what this means: "Mom, will you please pull up YouTube so that I can watch and listen to the MoTab some more?" He will then sit there and listen to 'Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing' over and over again and say 'choir'. What a sweetheart.

What a sweet boy. It will be interesting to see what talents and hobbies he chooses when he gets older!
By the way, what's the verdict on the big move?
