Detroit was nice and chilly, just like the news said. We got a sweet hotel for cheap (airline discount:) and ate at a yummy restaurant called Leonardo's that served the best Italian you've ever had. We slept in and didn't get around to hunting for apartments, unless you count online window shopping. The indoor heated pool was also lovely. The best part (do I even have to mention?) was being with Matt!
Then off to San Diego.......I LOVE MY FAMILY!! All my brothers and sisters, parents, both grandpas, and fun aunts and cousins showed up for the 'big day'. Thursday night we went through the temple with my sister. Funny story.......only appropriate to tell in person.....
Friday we discovered Old Town San Diego, whose Spanish flavor and haciendas were awesome. That night was the BBQ with family and friends which turned out fabulous. We finished up with a little sand volleyball girls vs. boys, winner took bragging rights. The evening was so nice, not to mention we were RIGHT on the beach, hearing the waves crashing and breathing in the cool ocean breeze.
Gavin Dale my adorable nephew!
Saturday morning my mom, Erin, and I went with Brooke to get her hair done then scrambled to be ready on time. Everything worked out perfectly. The wedding was great and so special. I bawled and bawled. Brooke looked soooo pretty......her dress fit like a glove and she seemed so happy! Luckily, I snagged some pics outside before we all almost got blown away by the wind. Outside of the San Diego Temple
I just thought this one was cute!

So fun to see pics! i am so thrilled for Brooke. I miss your fam!
I was hoping you would put some pictures up. Sounds like it was awesome, which is why I'm bummed I couldn't go. You all look pretty and I can't believe how grown-up your sisters are! One more thing, your nephew is super cute. I didn't know his middle name is Dale. Love it!
Glad you guys had a great time. Matt went on and on about how fun volleyball was and how much you guys loved San Diego. All I could say was--there's a reason so many people live there :). Too bad it's so expensive. But hey, the snow isn't really so bad (for the first three months anyway). Just plan your vacations for mid February and go someplace warm and sunny.
