ALL NIGHT LONG!!!
Dear reader, I know you are thinking, that sounds boring, or horrible to be babysitting an adult who is acting like a child. Well, it can be. Trust me. But, it's a job, and often times I work the floor and do my LPN thing but the last four nights....well, let's just say I haven't got much exercise. So.....I work nights because I don't enjoy being at home alone when Matt is gone. However, I'm really not a 'night owl', it's kinda out of desperation. Last night 2 am rolls around....then 3 am. Lights are dim, TV's off, I'm bored, jealously observing the peaceful, deep respirations of my patient who is sound asleep. Not to mention, my bum is numb from sitting. So, I decide to prop up another chair and get comfy. I usually fall asleep for at least some period of time on nights, I'll be honest. Last night was no exception. I dozed off.....sue me.....anyway, right before I got to my deserted 75 degree island, one of the aides on the floor decided it would be funny to put on a hospital gown and wake me up and scare me. Well, he did. I screamed- LOUD. He looked just like the patient I was 'babysitting' that night. Anyway, adrenalin pumping, heart thumping......... I couldn't go back to sleep, to say the least. Joke's on me! Oh well, it was well worth my meager 10 minutes of much needed shut eye. (If you're wondering about the patient, he didn't wake up-luckily:)

Tomorrow I'm off to Detroit to meet my sweetie pie and look for some apartments in the area. Then- CLIMATE CHANGE- sunny San Diego for the wedding!! I'll catch you bloggers in a week or so...............Happy St. Patrick's Day!

You're the lucky one who got to be a sitter for a few nights, huh? Nobody likes that. Have fun a the wedding and tell everyone hi for me.
I laughed out loud when Matt got off the phone with you and told me that story. Thanks for sharing him with us for an evening. We loved having him! Have a great time in San Diego! Some much deserved rest--and let us know if you find an apartment!
You are a great writer! I was dying (well as much as I could sitting here at work) laughing at the way you wrote that story! Well Peter and I were talking with Erika and Todd about doing a little BBQ sometime and you guys should totally come and bring that crazy game you were telling us about on the skii trip...
